There were some personnel changes at AADT this month, please review the CDTOA President’s report on page 5 for those updates.
Regardless of the changes that Cal-DATA, C-DATA, AADT has experienced over the last 14 years; the business has grown and improved its services to both CDTOA members and non-member clients. Many members, especially those who have been involved with CDTOA’s management over the last 10-15 years would agree that the success of C-DATA/AADT is directly tied to the loyalty and support of the CDTOA membership. The business is an integrally part of the association and that should never change.
This month, AADT will be officially rolling out a web based application management tool that allows truck brokers to log onto the AADT hosted website “Broker” feature that will open their eyes to a whole new world of drug testing convenience and reliability.
This new program will automate the entire process and could potentially lead to a paperless world within the drug and alcohol testing industry.
This product allows your company to easily track the compliance status of a contracted owner-operator. And if they happen to fall out of compliance with the program, for any reason, we will send your company, an email notification within seconds. The email will notify you that the contracted owner-operators compliance status has changed – no different than an insurance cancellation notification!
Not only will you get instantaneous compliance status, but companies will be able to add or delete owner-operators online.
So, if it works as well as we believe it will, based on 10 broker users who have tested the program with contracted owner-operators, it leads us all to believe that it will work within all types of relationships and all types of transportation.
Ultimately, we believe the goal is to eliminate virtually all enrollment documents, even certificates and ID cards, because the information will all be managed here, watched over by an experienced and reliable staff and a designated account manager.
Call us today and ask for a brochure or for a customer service specialist to walk you through a demonstration. We will even take this all one step further, if you send us your owner-operator information; we will set-up your account with all related date and agreements. It’s that easy! Call today and start saving time and money!
1. DOT’s 49 CFR Part 40 directly observed (DO) collections are authorized and required only when:
2. The observer must be the same gender as the employee.
3. If the collector is not the observer, the collector must instruct the observer about the procedures for checking the employee for prosthetic or other devices designed to carry “clean” urine and urine substitutes AND for watching the employee urinate into the collection container.
4. Failure of the employee to permit any part of the direct observation procedure is a refusal to test.
